Pamela Shamshiri, who heads up her eponymous studio has a passion for storytelling through design, a clear creative driving force for this collection. Creating a fictitious character, a confident, well-travelled and slightly eccentric woman, for whom these rugs reflect her many travels abroad. Ancient pyramids, historical Tibetan Tiger rugs and the symbolism of the snake have offered inspiration for the designs, depicting the incredibly individual experience of travel through different cultures.

Christopher Farr collaborates with David Coen and Gregory Parkinson to create ‘Ceremony’ a homage to the Italian tradition of Aperitivo. Formed of an ultramarine polypropylene rug supported by aluminium armatures and a matching table that also functions as a storage unit or ice bucket. Under the watchful, creative eyes of Los Angeles fashion designer Gregory Parkinson, the rug has been woven from polypropylene fibre which is more commonly used for making yacht ropes, so it is incredibly hardwearing and waterproof.
‘Ceremony’ was first exhibited in Milan during Salone del Mobile 2018 and is currently on display in Singapore until the end of August.
Christopher Farr is excited to announce the launch of four contemporary rugs, designed by emerging textile artist Irene Infantes.
Taking a view of her surroundings from an optimistic perspective, textile artist Irene Infantes collects textures & forms that impact her daily life and transforms them into contemporary collages. Each rug has been masterfully handcrafted, in Afghanistan and India, exploring the vast array of techniques available to Christopher Farr when producing new works.
Christopher Farr is delighted to launch the first rug by artist Georgie Hopton.
“This rug was the product of a wish to have a collage of mine made into a rug for a particular room in my house – and Christopher Farr Carpets’ willingness and ability to work with me to fulfil that wish. The result, I think, is extraordinary.” Georgie Hopton
New Collection Vulcania
Vulcania is about journeys that deliver, transform and inspire us. I have spent my life seeking adventure, art and beauty in every corner of the globe. Love of travel was a gift from my immigrant parents, and one I have given to my son. As I pass through new places, every detail is impressed on me: forms and light in nature, architectural spaces, colors, textures and the play of shadows on city streets. All of it informs my designs. This collection is an expression and celebration of these journeys.
Kim Alexandriuk, Interior Designer
We are delighted to announce a new collection of rugs by Commune.
We share very much Commune’s love of truth to materials as an underlying thread in all their work. When you combine this with real flair and imagination, it’s hard not to see why they have been so successful and influential. The rugs we have made pay tribute to the core values to be found at the heart of both companies.
We are delighted to launch the first rug by MLK Studio entitled New Heights. Meg is one of a handful of designers working in the US today who really understands modern architecture and the subtle complexities of furnishing and enhancing beautifully conceived spaces.
Christopher Farr is pleased to offer our Hampstead Quality as part of our Quick Ship program. Any existing designs can be produced in a six week production keeping projects with tight deadlines on schedule and within budget. Our Hampstead quality is produced using advanced hand tufting techniques. We use carefully sourced materials such as wool and silk. A partially mechanized technique allows highly accurate renderings of pattern and design within our Quick Ship program.
